The leafy suburb of Aigburth has officially welcomed a stylish new Italian restaurant. The last 12 months have seen the corner of Aigburth Road and Mersey Road steadily developed into Est Est - a spacious, authentic, neighbourhood, Italian ristorante and bar.The £500,000, 1.800sq/ft restaurant development has been funded by a consortium of local investors and has been driven by managing director, Stephen Garrity. Stephen has extensive experience within the catering and hospitality trade having been managing director of the Est Est Est chain of Italian restaurants before becoming a director of The Restaurant Group which acquired Est Est Est in 1997.Est Est hosted an official VIP launch party to introduce executive chef Ian Crosby who has created the culinary vision for the new eaterie. With over 12 years experience specialising in the Italian cuisine sector, Ian has worked and developed menus and successful kitchen processes for Bibis in Leeds, Piccolinos nationwide and San Carlo in Manchester and Liverpool. Ian Crosby, executive chef at Est Est said;"The last 12 years have seen me obsess over Italian flavours and concepts. For Est Est I believe we have created a menu of real, honest Italian food that is made with the finest, freshest ingredients from local producers and Italian deli suppliers.
