Sydney is in line for a branch of Neil Perry's Italian restaurant Rosetta but expect a longer wait than snaring a table at Copenhagen's gastro temple Noma.
The harbour city got a little over-excited last week after Perry tweeted about the idea of opening an Italian restaurant in his home town.
"Rosetta is for Crown Sydney, so 2019," the chef told Good Food.
Of more pressing interest is word that Perry, who was overseas when a fire closed Rockpool Bar & Grill in Sydney, was in Hong Kong talking to prospective parties about opening a restaurant there.
Specific information filtered back on the restaurant players who Perry met and even the location (an historic building) where he supposedly plans to open.
So is he plotting a HK launch? "No, would love to though; love that city," Perry fired back.
